Nathan K Banda

for Secretary/Treasure

I am honored to be nominated for the position of Secretary/Treasurer of the Tribe. Since my appointment this year to the Tribal Council as Member at Large, I have been working diligently on numerous projects helping move this Nation forward.

One of the strongest qualities that I bring to the Tribal Council is my experience in non-profit organizations and local city commissions.  I believe I also bring to the Tribal Council my commitment to culture, family, and my integrity, which guides my decisions as a tribal council member.

In the last two years, I have received much recognition working on numerous Tribal Projects within our Tribal Community, along with the City of San Juan Capistrano, including being appointed to the City Cultural Heritage Commission, Event Chair for The Vintage 2008, and Chamber of Commerce Ambassador.  I was also instrumental in obtaining a Proclamation for the Tribe from Orange County Supervisor Pat Bates.

I descend from the villages of Gevet, Alauna & Pituidem.  My ancestor is Magdalena Castensequininam. I have a beautiful daughter Marisella L. Banda. I am endorsed by Chairman, Anthony Rivera Jr.; Vice-Chairwoman, Fran Yorba; Secretary/Treasurer, Chris M. Lobo; Secretary/Treasurer (RET.), Chris A. Lobo; Community Educator, Jacque Nunez; Tribal Elder, June Ramos; and Commissioner, Ed Nunez.

I endorse Chairman, Anthony Rivera Jr.; Vice-Chairwoman, Fran Yorba; and Members at Large, Chris M. Lobo, and Cecelia Martinez, for the 2009 Tribal Council.
