I'm honored to be nominated for Vice-Chair, and humbled by your trust and support. My sincere love and gratitude go to my family, who has supported my passion and dedication to our Nation since 1997. I will fulfill my obligation as Vice-Chair with integrity and moral fiber, as we, the Acjachemen people, move towards Federal Recognition, and the ability to preserve our sacred sites.
A few of my established leadership strengths include: positive and productive relationships with BIA's Tribal Operations Department; the Office of Federal Acknowledgement; and politicians, both locally and federally. I have also helped recruit one of the best Federal Recognition team (consultants) in Indian Country.
I will build on my previous three-term assignments, and will continue to serve in the memory of our Ancestors, my parents, and my grandfather, Jose Dorame "Capitan" of the Mission Indian Federation (early 1900's), with sovereignty as my driving force. Together, I believe we can make the century old dream of Our Nations sovereignty, a reality!
